American River College River Tales
Hear from the founding members of River Tales and some of our first year’s pivotal storytellers about their process of bringing personal perspectives and raw, authentic conversations to the UNITE Center. Food provided by our own Oak Café and Bakery!
Over the course of the last year, River Tales has had the opportunity to highlight authentic stories from powerful storytellers. Highlighting "celebration" months such as: Hispanic heritage month, LGBTQIA+ history month, Native American Heritage month, Disability awareness month, Black History month, Women's History month, Arab American Heritage month, and AANHPI month were a pivotal component to this project, and allowed us to showcase the intersectionality at ARC that can often be forgotten.
