(AVS) is responsible for Audio Visual support services
for both the ARC Campus and the Sacramento Regional Public Safety Center (SRPSTC)/McClellan Center, and Audio Visual support for the ARC Natomas Center.
Audio Visual Equipment
Audio Visual equipment includes: video/data projectors, video monitors, video players and recorders, camcorders, DVD players, overhead projectors, 35mm slide projectors, audio equipment including audio recorders and public address (PA) systems.
Audio Visual Services and Requests
Please note: Many of the more popular pieces of equipment, such as video-data LCD projectors and laptop computers are heavily booked. Please arrange for equipment you need as far in advance as possible.
If you are unfamiliar with the equipment that you are requesting, please arrange for a short tutorial session on its use prior to your checkout.
The person requesting the equipment is responsible for picking up from Audio Visual Services and returning it.
Submit a request for this service at Service Central.
Audio Visual Services provides setups of screens, projection equipment, and public address systems for both indoor and outdoor special events at ARC.
Please try to let us know of these events as far in advance as possible, particularly since they may require our coordination with ARC Maintenance or other campus service departments to insure their success.
NOTE: Computer projection requires an LCD projector not an "overhead" projector.

Please be as specific as possible. Our ability to assess the extent of the problem and estimate repair time is largely dependent on a specific description of how the equipment behaved.
Audio Visual Services will contact you if additional information is needed & we will make every effort to correct the problem as soon as is possible.

Audio Visual Services provides only direct, single-camera video recording. Audio Visual Services provides only the in-camera DVD for the original recording and one standard DVD copy for the requestor.
We cannot provide video editing services.

Audio Visual Services provides video duplicating services exclusively from VHS or DVD to DVD format only.
You must be able to provide an original in DVD format (preferably) or VHS. Because of the difficulty in maintaining quality in copying, we do NOT recommend copying VHS tapes recorded in extended play (6-hour mode).
