Maintenance Connection for Work Orders

Maintenance connection is the software used to submit Work Orders for campus requests, repairs, emergencies, etc. When Work Orders are received by Campus Operations, they are routed to the corresponding department to be completed. Work Orders are routed to Custodial, in-house Maintenance Technicians for semi-skilled tasks, Facilities Management for skilled to Journeyman Level Tasks, or to office staff. Work Orders typically consist of one task:

  • Hot or cold temperature checks
  • Clean-ups such as spills, broken glass, or graffiti
  • Elevator Malfunctions
  • Door and lock issues
  • Key and/or Access Card requests
  • Emergencies (no hot water, loss of electricity, hazardous situation, etc.)
  • Repair/modification (broken door, light not working, fix furniture, etc.)
  • Paint
  • Event set-ups
  • Surplus (items that need to be removed)

Project Request Form

Project Request Forms are used to document all information required to get a project started. This form should be used when there are multiple criteria that need to be addressed to accomplish an objective. This form confirms project approval, funding source, identifies critical requirements, and helps Campus Operations make sure correct stakeholders are engaged.

Project Requests are different than Work Orders. Work Orders, typically consist of one task, where Project Requests require multiple tasks and trades.

Examples of Project Requests:

  • Ordering new furniture
  • Department, office, or classroom remodel
  • Reconfiguration of office furniture
