This event will be a preliminary discussion for any stakeholders and/or interested parties in the effects of distance learning and remote education on African American students. I am conducting a research project that looks the current climate, and then to develop strategies and guidelines to support African American students as a disproportionately impacted group in distance education. This research will
include looking at technology and pedagogical approaches through the lens of the African American student, but that can be broadened for and applicable to all students engaged in distance education.
Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to LRCCD employees and invited participants.
