As Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) continue reshaping education, faculty face critical questions: Is AI a shortcut, or a tool for deeper learning? How do we shift from a product-based assessment to a process-driven approach? This interactive workshop will explore real practices for integrating AI into the classroom in ways that support critical thinking, iteration, and authentic engagement. Participants will:
- See GenAI practices in action—live demonstrations of AI-assisted writing, research, and brainstorming;
- Engage in hands-on exercises—experiment with AI tools to enhance process-based learning;
- Discuss challenges & solutions—collaborate with colleagues to develop ethical, effective classroom strategies.
- Walk away with actionable best practices—immediately applicable techniques for AI-enhanced learning.
Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to LRCCD employees and invited participants.
