Flights of Fancy: The Parrot ESL Newsletter at ARC--not just for ESL students!
The Parrot has shared the beauty and diversity of the immigrant cultures at ARC, focused on the needs of Sacramento’s refugee populations, and sought to build bridges of belonging and community. As we look forward to the 20th year of The Parrot and the publication of the 200th issue, join us for a look at how The Parrot has been and can continue to be a resource for you as an instructor, counselor, or staff member, and how it can help you to motivate and inspire students.

Squawk! Squawk! The Parrot ESL Newsletter is here to talk! Since 2006, The Parrot ESL Newsletter at American River College has sought to give voice to some of ARC’s most vulnerable students by publishing the work, art, and stories of students of all levels studying English as a Second Language (ESL). Learn how to share your students’ work or be involved yourself! Come envision the future flight of The Parrot, brainstorm ways for it to soar even higher, and see how you can be a part of it! Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to LRCCD employees and invited participants.
