Event Overview
Start Homecoming Week with school spirit, community connection, and a celebration of ARC’s 70 years! Bucky Day kicks off the festivities with activities designed to welcome students back, build pride, and showcase ARC’s history and traditions. Students, staff, alumni, and families are all encouraged to take part in this launch event.
Coffee & Treats (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM : Student Center)
- A morning welcome with free refreshments to start the day on a sweet note.
Bucky’s Belonging Wall (8:00 AM Kickoff : UNITE Center)
- A large community sign displayed on the UNITE Center windows throughout Homecoming Week.
- Students, staff, faculty and community members are invited to share what makes them feel welcome, connected, and included at ARC.
- Write your reflections on Bucky-shaped stickies and add them to the wall.
- By week’s end, the wall will become a colorful, uplifting display of community pride — a living reminder that at ARC, You Belong Here.
Area Decorating Contest (Various Locations)
- Campus-wide competition: “70 Years of ARC”.
- Be sure your office is picture-ready!
- Judging and awards will be scheduled with each area that participates, but décor is displayed all week.
- Purpose: to have fun, build office community, and spruce up the campus with Homecoming pride.
- The Associated Student Body (ASB) sets criteria and handles judging.

Campus-Wide Scavenger Hunt Kickoff (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM : Student Center)
- Scavenger hunt begins at the kickoff event on Monday, October 27th; when the campus community will receive their first clue.
- QR codes will be utilized as checkpoints for found clues.
- Completed scavenger hunts = chance to win a grand prize.
- Encourages exploration of campus spaces and daily participation.
- More info to come regarding alternate ways to receive the first clue.
Homecoming Passport Kickoff (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM : Student Center)
- Passports distributed at the kickoff event on Monday, October 27th; participants collect stickers at events and activities throughout the week.
- Completed passports = chance to win a grand prize.
- Encourages exploration of campus spaces and daily participation.
- More info to come regarding alternate times for passport pickup.
Therapy Dogs Visit (Time TBD : Student Center)
- Meet friendly pups and take a stress-relief break.
ARC Archives Promotional Tabling (Time TBD : Student Center)
- Special tabling with sample artifacts and encouragement to visit the Library's display.
Art in Action (Time TBD : Location TBD)
- Hands-on activities to relax, connect, and contribute to the community vibe.
