Facilitated by: Dr. Mikenna Modesto, Interim Dean of Library, Learning Resources, and Distance Education; Joel Gallegos, Adjunct Faculty Tutoring Coordinator
Join the Learning Resource Center team for an in-depth look at American River College’s three tutoring programs: General Tutoring, Embedded Tutoring, and the Beacon Supplemental Instruction Program. This session will provide an overview of each program’s current structure, scope, and partnerships across disciplines, followed by a presentation of key findings from recent analyses conducted by the Office of Institutional Research (2023–2025). Participants will learn how tutoring participation correlates with higher course success, stronger grades, and improved retention—with no disproportionate impacts in access. Attendees will gain insights into how these programs advance ARC’s equity and student success goals and explore ways faculty and staff can connect their students to these high-impact learning supports.
