Description
Have a student who is struggling, lonely, or just needs a safe place to connect? We have a resource at Los Rios with Togetherall - an anonymous, peer-to-peer mental health platform that provides 24/7 support for students to give or get support.
Research shows that peer forums like Togetherall can reduce loneliness and increase students’ confidence in seeking help. Peer-to-peer support is important because it combats isolation and stigma by allowing people to share experiences with those who have common lived experiences, providing a sense of community and mutual understanding. It offers practical advice, encouragement, and a feeling of not being alone. Platforms like Togetherall make this support accessible 24/7, which is especially helpful for those who may be waiting for other services.
Participants will also learn about the full range of free services offered by the Student Health and Wellness Center, including mental and physical health care, as well as expanded sexual health services.
