(ARC) Basic Needs Resources for Your Students

Beaver Cares provides comprehensive basic needs support to ensure students have the stability required to thrive academically and personally. This presentation introduces faculty and staff to the full scope of Beaver Cares services, including our Food Pantry and satellite pantry resources, Technology and Transportation assistance, CalFresh support, emergency housing referrals, Diaper Pantry services, and financial wellness tools.

Participants will learn how each program works, how students can access services, and the role of staff partnerships in connecting students to timely assistance. The session will also highlight current campus collaborations, referral pathways, data trends, and strategies for reducing stigma around basic needs support.

By the end of the presentation, faculty and staff will walk away with practical knowledge, ready-to-use messaging for students, and a clearer understanding of how Beaver Cares contributes to equity, retention, and student well-being across the college.
