This training by the SHWC provides an overview of common concerns students may experience and practical strategies for responding effectively. Participants will be introduced to the LEAR strategy as a framework for de-escalating tense situations and navigating challenging interactions with care and confidence.
By the end of this session, faculty will be able to recognize common student concerns and apply appropriate, trauma-informed approaches to addressing conflict and escalating situations.
