Enjoy an inspirational hour featuring original poetry, written and read by our very own American River College professors, Aaron Bradford and Christine Neuman. Aaron Bradford was born in Taos, New Mexico, grew up in Los Angeles, earned his MFA in Long Beach, and now lives in Sacramento. He teaches creative writing, literature, and argument. His poems have been included in Tule Review, Beach Chair Press, Chiron Review, Incidental Buildings & Accidental Beauty, Burning the Little Candle, Late Peaches, and Tupelo Press's 30/30 Project. They have also been performed by Long Beach State's University Players and the Actor's Workshop of Sacramento. Christine (Chris) Neuman grew up in Springfield, Illinois, and moved to Sacramento, California, at the age of 13. She earned an Associate degree in English from American River College and later completed both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing at Sacramento State University. Chris currently teaches English Composition and Literature courses at American River College and Folsom Lake College. A surrealist poet, she recently published a chapbook of her work, The Goat, through Bottlecap Press earlier this year. Her poetry has appeared in publications including Cough Syrup, The Meadow, ¡Laplante!, The Fresh Water Review, Mantis, and The Quarterly, among others.
