This training invites educators and staff to learn about Student Health and Wellness role in campus safety. This training will review how to best connect students to care, responding to mental health and physical health emergencies, the suicide risk protocol, and incident response (any event that has a significant impact on the emotional and mental wellbeing of the college community such as a death, suicide, significant loss, community violence, natural disaster, etc.).

Participants will learn strategies on navigating students correctly, providing warm handoffs and what resources are available to them at all colleges.  Understanding the supports and systems of your college is essential to supporting our diverse and dynamic students.  Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to LRCCD employees and invited participants.
