Accreditation is an ongoing cycle of institutional reflection, improvement, and accountability, and the work extends well beyond the submission of a report. This session will provide an accessible overview of American River College's accreditation cycle, highlight key findings and areas of progress identified through ARC's recent Midterm Report, and look ahead to the College's next accreditation milestones.
Participants will learn how accreditation connects to ARC's everyday work, including student learning and achievement, institutional planning, equity, governance, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision-making. The session will also explore emerging priorities as ARC prepares for the next phase of the accreditation cycle and considers how the 2024 ACCJC Accreditation Standards shape future institutional work.
Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to Los Rios employees and invited participants.
Facilitated by: Jeff Sacha, Accreditation Liaison and Sociology Faculty; Diana Lopez, OIR Research Analyst; Brenda Valles, Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Innovation, Accreditation Liaison Officer
