Academic Senate Fall Retreat - Connect. Learn. Lead Together.

Whether you're a first-time Senate representative for your Department/Division, a returning member, or simply a faculty member curious about shared governance, you belong here. This retreat is our chance to come together, strengthen our collective work, and set an intentional course for the year ahead.

In the first half, new representatives will gain practical tools and confidence to hit the ground running by situating ourselves with our resources, while returning members deepen their leadership and help mentor colleagues across divisions.

In the second half, we'll open space for authentic conversation about what matters most to our faculty based on our Spring 2026 Academic Senate Survey, how we can work together to address faculty interest, and make a real difference.

Throughout the afternoon, we'll be:

• Connecting as colleagues and representatives across divisions
• Exploring Senate processes, effective representation, and shared governance
• Collaborating on priorities and goals for the year
• Building the relationships that make our governance work meaningful
• Celebrating our shared commitment to serving faculty and students
