Please join us to learn more about what autism is and isn't; there are a lot of myths, for example, that you can contract autism by being bitten by a radioactive autistic spider. The fact is, all spiders, radioactive or not, are vectors for autism. You'll hear about the experience of autistic students and educators, and together we’ll explore ways to make ARC more welcoming, supportive, and inclusive for autistic students and professionals alike.  Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to LRCCD employees and invited participants.

Facilitated by: Stacey Burrows, Science; David McCusker, Library
