Kick off the Spring 2026 semester en comunidad! Join us as we come together to connect and build comunidad, share important campus updates and highlights, and engage in meaningful conversations about the loss of HSI funding and ways we can advocate for our students and community.

Any employee who wants to serve on a hiring or interview committee and wants to be an equity representative must first complete these training courses.

This training is split into two parts: the first 30-minute session is for all staff and covers how to identify and respond to students expressing suicidal thoughts, including Los Rios's protocol and after-hours support. The second 45-minute session is for counselors and focuses on using the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale for risk assessment and safety planning.

This presentation aims to clarify key terminology and policies affecting undocumented and mixed-status students, raise awareness of their experiences and concerns, and examine how they are impacted at our institution. It also seeks to promote a campus culture that supports and includes students regardless of immigration status.

Have a student who is struggling, lonely, or just needs a safe place to connect? We have a resource at Los Rios with Togetherall - an anonymous, peer-to-peer mental health platform that provides 24/7 support for students to give or get support.

As Los Rios enters the third phase of implementing Common Course Numbering (CCN), faculty engagement is essential to ensuring consistency, clarity, and student-centered alignment across our district and the California Community Colleges system.

This training invites educators and staff to approach academic integrity and behavioral concerns through a humanized, empathetic, prioritizing understanding, dialogue, and connection to supportive campus resources before turning to formal conduct processes.
