"The Negro Baseball Leagues - An American Legacy" lecture presentation by filmmaker, author and performer Byron Motley brings to life an era that was prosperous and exciting! Audiences of all ages marvel at the information of stories of men and women who simply wanted to "Play Ball" but were ostracized simply because of the color of their skin.

Help Us Bring Our Village to Life

The librarians and faculty from the CRC English Department are hosting campus-wide reading events featuring literature by authors from the African Diaspora as part of the National African American Read-In (AARI).

Thursdays the floral program will hold their weekly floral sale. All floral arrangments are crafted by students. The floral sales will be held in the southwest corner of the student center, lower level.

This event will be a deep dive into all of the free services that WEAVE offers to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking for any resident of Sacramento County. Attendees will learn about our intake processes and limitations, and receive an introduction to the LRCCD confidential advocate who serves students, staff, and faculty at all 4 LRCCD campuses. Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to LRCCD employees and invited participants.

This session creates an intentional space for honest dialogue and community connection while strengthening partnerships that uplift the Black community.
