With the passing of AB 1705, Math has undergone many changes to the courses offered and to how students are placed based on their majors. In this Flex session, we will discuss the pathways for students with majors in Liberal Arts, Business, and STEM

During this interactive event, participants will explore techniques to create custom banners, buttons, and icons that align with their course themes. Facilitators will demonstrate how to utilize tools like PowerPoint for designing simple course graphics, animated gifs, and navigation buttons which can then be uploaded to Canvas

This session will provide faculty with a comprehensive overview of LRC tutoring services, highlight the benefits of embedded tutoring, and showcase effective strategies for collaboration

We will look at ideas from sport and exercise psychology as well as yoga philosophy to check our own biases about student performance and motivation, examine our own relationship with performance and motivation, and leave with some new lenses and tools for the upcoming semester.

This flex workshop is in response to the increased use and detection of AI generated writing in ESL writing classes and its impact on student success within ESL courses, all subsequent courses in other departments and students' academic and personal goals.
