The image above represents the philosophy and function of American River College’s governance structure. Broad participation and dialogue occurs among and across constituency group representative bodies, executive leadership, councils, and project teams. Their contributions flow into the governance value stream which enables the achievement of ARC’s strategic outcomes.

The membership of councils and project teams is typically invited to participate in an annual training sequence scheduled in late summer and early fall. Alternate methods including online resources and self-paced training are also available.
