Annotation, Accessibility, and AI: Leveraging Kami for ZTC Pathways

Reimagine how you deliver course content while supporting ARC’s Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) initiative. This hands-on demonstration will showcase how faculty can transform textbooks, OER, and course materials into dynamic, interactive learning experiences using Kami. Designed for faculty across disciplines, this event highlights how Kami’s annotation, multimedia embedding, and AI-powered assessment tools create accessible, equitable, and fully interactive “living documents” directly within Canvas. Participants will see how Kami can support ZTC by remixing OER, embedding free course texts, and turning any course material into an interactive, accessible resource. Faculty will learn how to create custom assessments, streamline grading, and promote student engagement — all while reducing workload. This event offers a chance to explore Kami’s capabilities as a way to create equitable ZTC pathways. This event is supported by an ARC Innovation Grant.
