Storytelling promotes empathy, compassion, and community, and here at American River College it has the potential to strengthen the bonds between students and employees alike. And... it's just plain fun! You're invited to join us for a 2-hr workshop designed to take a memorable moment from your life and craft it into a solid first draft of a story you could tell friends, family, and co-workers. While we will focus on educational themes, anyone and everyone is welcome to bring their ideas.
In addition to teaching geography at ARC for 24 years, workshop leader John Aubert has taken the
stage at numerous Moth Story Slams and has been a featured storyteller for Capital Storytelling, Story Collider, RISK!, Armchair Anonymous, Six Feet Apart Productions, and Artists Standing Strong Together. In 2022 he completed Capital Storytelling's Story Ambassador program, and he is now an events producer, as well as a storytelling instructor and coach. This event will not be recorded.
Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to LRCCD employees and invited participants.
