Let's take a break together to mush some clay, smear some paint and make a fun mess!
Many of us are experiencing a time of uncertainty and I'd like to offer a space for relief. For those struggling to identify and communicate their thoughts and emotions, art therapy offers a solution. The process of creating art provides an opportunity to explore and express in a variety of ways.
One of the main objectives of art therapy is to create insight; for example, a person can consider the artistic representation of their emotions, and then change their perception of specific situations and problems.
In this presentation, we will learn about the importance and benefits of self-care, and how art can be utilized to help us understand and manage our emotions in new ways. During the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to practice two art-related therapies which they can take home afterward. The presenter will share new techniques (this workshop is a continuation, not a repeat) from last spring.
Please register in advance so the presenter can confirm supplies needed for the event.
