We work with many wonderful people and serve many inspiring students. And yet collectively, many of us are feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, depleted and nearing burnout. In the system, many of us are facing what seem like never-ending, urgent needs and our own diminishing inner resources. Some of us do not feel valued, understood, or included in the ways that most matter to us. This is spiritual pain, if we understand "spiritual" very broadly as that which infuses our lives with meaning, purpose, satisfaction, inspiration, joy, peace, comfort, power/energy and more.
Please consider joining us for 30 minutes to tend our spirits together. Each session will be an opportunity to reflect on a poem, selection from a sacred text (religious or not), quotes from a wide variety of sources, or engage in guided visualization/meditation. A variety of people will bring resources to help us tend our spirits. Whether you are religious or not, whether you consider yourself spiritual or not, this will nurture your inner life. You might think you do not have time for this. But can you really afford not to take the time for something like this?
