The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) works to meet the professional development (PD) needs of the ARC Community by supporting Flex days, pre-semester PD that is designed and facilitated by ARC faculty and staff, as well as in-semester PD opportunities that help the college fulfill its mission, values, and commitment to social justice and equity, and achieve its strategic goals.
For the purpose of this website, the terms 'Flex', 'Flex Events', 'PD' and 'Professional Development events' are interchangeable. All describe PD events which may happen prior to, or during, a semester. The term 'Flex Days Events' specifically refers to Professional Development events which occur during Flex Week each semester, before classes begin.
