Affordable Learning Materials Committee
Mission: For American River College students to have equitable and increased opportunities to succeed by reducing material costs, while increasing their quality.
Curriculum Committee
The Curriculum Committee is a subcommittee of the Academic Senate. The committee accomplishes many of its functions through a set of subcommittees, including Tech Review, General Education, and Distance Education.
Distance Education Committee
The ARC Distance Education Committee establishes a consistent communication channel between the Distance Education (DE) department, faculty and staff, and the Academic Senate.
Faculty Professional Development Committee
To provide assistance, guidance, and financial resources to faculty with the goal of promoting professional growth and development to enhance teaching and learning in support of district and campus goals and objectives.
Professional Standards Type A and B Leaves
Receives and reviews the applications of faculty members desiring professional development leaves. Makes recommendations to approve proposals for professional development leaves to the president.
Program Pathways
Purpose: responsible for developing clear educational and career paths for student. This includes Program Roadmaps, Areas of Interest (Meta-Majors), and HomeBase Pathway Communities
Program Review Committee
Purpose: Our goal is guiding and monitoring the processes of program review. This includes, but is not limited to training, overseeing and reviewing program review documents, facilitating completion of Annual Unit Planning that aligns with the Program Review goals.
SLO Assessment Committee
Purpose: responsible for guiding the college's student learning outcomes assessment process, including providing information and training to faculty Assessment of program level student learning outcomes (SLOs) relies on American River College's annual cycle of course-level SLO assessment.
