Important Information Please Read First:
- If you have previously requested a license, you do not need to request one again, unless there has been a break in employment or your employment status/location has changed (i.e. moved to SCC).
- Requests usually take 1-3 business days to process if submitted M-Th (not including Holidays).
- You will not receive any follow-up emails from the IT Department.
- Requests from non-employees and requests received using apps email will not be processed. Licensing only works with your primary ARC email account. If your primary email account is another college or DO, use that email address for your request.
- You will receive an email from Adobe once the request is processed (it may show up as junk mail).
- All Adobe requests through service central require a supervisor or administrator approval.
To get the newest version of Adobe apps working after your Adobe Invitation email is received, please follow next steps:
- Uninstall all old Adobe applications. Every application that has Adobe name in it must be uninstalled. If you have problems uninstalling old Adobe software, please use this guide
- Download and install Adobe Creative Cloud apps
- Open a newly installed Adobe Creative Cloud Application; sign in again following guides above if asked. You can install any desired Adobe application that appears in the "Available in your plan" section.
To sign in, use your regular work email address @arc.losrios.edu. Click Continue button. If prompted, select Company or School Account. You will be forwarded to the Los Rios Single Sign On page asking for your wID and Los Rios password. You will also be required to Authenticate through DUO. Once you have logged in, scroll up and down to choose the software you want to install. Each Adobe product has a separate install.
If you open a PDF directly from a web browser that has a PDF extension installed, the file will open inside the browser. To open directly in Adobe, you will need to save the document to your computer before opening.
If you find that when you double-click on a saved PDF and it opens in Adobe Reader, it means Adobe Reader is set as the default for PDF documents. To bypass this, you can right click the file and chose Open With... search for and choose Adobe Acrobat Pro.
If Acrobat no longer works for you, you may need to log back into Adobe using your primary ARC email account by clicking the round icon in the top right corner of Acrobat Pro or another Adobe program you have installed.
If Adobe requests payment or states you do not have access to the software,
- Please note: Adobe does not keep users indefinitely logged in, so you will have to re-login using your primary Los Rios Email account about every 60 days.
- You DO NOT need to request new work at home licensing.
- To Log In - Open acrobat or another adobe program and click the icon in the upper right corner and use your ARC Credentials.
Licensing Agreement Details:
The license will expire 90 days after the employee separates from the American River College.
